Hello friends and family!
So the changes are now over, and everything went well. Everyone got to their new areas well, the new missionaries came in, their rooms were bought, and everything´s all good. Phew!
This week, we´ve been getting a lot more help from the members with references. We´ve got 5 or 7 references that we just need to get a firm appointment to teach them. That´s really good, because the new investigadores who are references progress a lot faster because they have additional help and see that we´re not so wierd- because their friend is a good person, and a better person because of the gospel.
Last night the other ward that assits our chapel had a talent show, and since it´s the ward that President Fernandez attends, he invited us to come and participate as well. We really enjoyed it, and my companion was so very happy, because he got to play guitar again. He loves playing the guitar so much, and he played ¨Abide with me Tis Eventide¨ It´s so beautiful, and it just brought to mind President Eyring´s talk about that song and story in the Bible. We always need the presence and help of our Savior, and when we ask for it and worthy of it, he´s always willing to accompany us through our good times and bad.
So it ends up as well that when I* (who was really close to being baptized a few weeks ago before deciding she wanted to do it in Lima) was in Lima, she wasn´t baptized. We have a meeting with her tonight, and if things go well, she might get baptized. She has a really strong desire to do it, and I know that she´s ready. She is so incredible and has a great testimony of the Book of Mormon.
I love you all so much! Thanks for your prayers and your support and your emails. Make sure that you stay close to the Lord, so that he can stay close to you.
