Hello friends and family!
Wow- this week has been super great. We have 2 (perhaps 3) baptisms
lined up for this Saturday, and about 5 (perhaps 7?) more at the end
of the month.
The 2 people that will be baptized this week are mother and son- the
mom (50ish) listened to the missionaries a year ago, and she got
really really close to getting baptized. This time, she´s really firm
with her decision, in part because her son, who´s 24 has also been
listening and changing a ton, and will also be baptized this week.
He´s been really integrated in the ward, thanks to a ward
choreographed dance they did this week- and he danced fantastically!
Her daughter and her boyfriend are also listenening, and it´s possible
they might get baptized at the end of the month.
We weren´t able to talk with the less active from last week this week.
We passed by a couple times, and we weren´t able to find them!
Yesterday, we taught one of the most prepared people I´ve ever met.
She´s 30 years old, and she started out by saying "What do I need to
do to be part of your congregation?" We explained a bit about baptism,
and a testimony, and faith, and we asked her if she felt like these
things are true if she would be baptized- she said "Of course, but I´m
going to need to talk with God about it first." Wow. She kept on
asking questions that were just perfect. "What happened after the
Apostles died?" "How can I know if Joseph Smith was really a prophet?"
"What about the changes that were made in the Bible?" It was just
incredible. She has been super prepared, and I´m really excited to
teach her.
I love you all! I´m sorry it´s so short, our time was really short today.
