Allright, finally got the publish-subscribe over UART code that we talked about a while ago in a somewhat stable state if anyone is interested.

https://github.com/EternityForest/WBTV/blob/master/README.md

The protocol could be modified to include message acknowledgement fairly easily as there is already support for full duplex links that don't use the arbitration features.

Unrelated stuff:
Does the verification cyclometer actually need to measure distance or just speed? If just speed, then I'd imagine harbor freight would have a cheap laser tachometer if you don't already have one lying around.

Danny -

It will be good to see you on Monday.  Elcano presently lives in room 321, UW-1, UW Bothell.

Thanks for providing the UART code.Since WBTV is designed for "low risk/non critical, low speed" applications, it may not be appropriate for Elcano.

Cyclometers are inexpensive, rugged and widely available.  They are quick to install and will provide speed, distance and other functions.  I am buying one for Elcano this morning.  The lab needs another 3 to 4, but UWB is not shy about spending money.  This quarter I asked for one quadcopter, and they bought three.
