Ken:
You are certainly welcome to look at the maps. Public comment is always
welcome. We are basically certifying the same Zoning Regulations that were
approved by the BOCC on November 4, 2009, with some of the previous dates
being removed and a new date put on the document.
Regards, Richard

This public hearing then will be an opportunity for residents to review
(before the meeting) the accuracy of the maps, and voice object to the
certification if they believe there are discrepancies? And are there any
additional reasons why the public would comment on this process?

Hi Ken:
Per CRS 30-28-112, "The county planning commission shall certify a copy of
the plans for zoning all or any part of the incorporated territory within
the county, or any adopted part or amendment thereof or addition thereto,
to
the board of county commissioners of the county."

Good morning Richard,
Could you please briefly describe what is the legal definition & purpose
of "certification" in the context of the upcoming PC hearing for the Reg
+ Maps?
Thank you,
