Hi
I have been trying to use this Transform Rigidity Penalty Metric for imposing the rigidity to some part of my moving volume while registering it with the fixed volume. I am not able to achieve it in elastix and it seems that the mask I am providing doesn't even seems to work.
Here I am attaching my fixed and moving volume as well as the mask and my Rigid and BSplines parameter file.
Any help is appreciated.
Urgent help needed.

Shouldn't your mask labels be 0 & 1? I found them to be 64512 & 64513. Also, for what it's worth, your mask varies widely across the slices, starting in the lung, then spreads anteriorly outside of the chest cavity:

Do you mean the mask should be even across slices for it to work? Actually, I wanted rigidity only when the needle is visible in the volume. So, this is why my mask varies. Were you able to apply rigidity in the masked region? I made the mask to be 0 and 1 only, I have no idea as to why its becoming these values.
Can you please guide me ahead? Urgent help needed.

I was able to register the images, but without the mask.

Without the mask, there is no issue. Can you help me with the mask, so that the rigidity is imposed on the masked region.

I believe I got something to work - but your mask wasn't good and it was causing the registration to fail, so I made an ROI that focused on your lung of interest:

Can you please create a google drive link to upload what I've generated, including the parameter files?

Things to consider in your future work:
1. Something was off with your images that elastix didn't like. So, I imported your images to itk-snap, then exported them into mhd format as that's what I normally use. Perhaps try another DICOM conversion program.
2. Check your mask labels. They should be (0) for background, or (1) for region of interest. I use itk-snap to define my ROIs and I was able to use it to fix your segmentation labels.
