Question regarding indexers

Hi,

 

I am interested in using Elasticray as an easy plugin to integrate Elasticsearch into Liferay’s pluggable search. As far as I understood for each portlet (custom or standard) a indexer definition is required, regardless of whether one uses internal lucene, Solr or Elasticsearch search. Though, I have found some information regarding problems between Elasticsearch and some indexers (PluginPackageIndexer and WikiIndexer; http://www.xtivia.com/liferay-elastic-search-integration/). Is this also the case using Elasticray and Elasticsearch 1.4+?

Hi Marc,

Sorry for late response. We are occupied with some other work. We haven't found any issue with WikiIndexer or PluginPackageIndexer. We were able to create, delete and update Wiki Pages with title containing characters "(,) and /". The issue with these characters is Rest API (elasticsearch ) does not work well with them. Native APIs work just fine.
