Hi Riccardo,

Using elasticluster.sh to create new cluster this morning

Trying to build a cluster with EasyBuild configured but it is failing when setting up Lmod

TASK [easybuild : Run the bootstrap script] ************************************

task path: /home/elasticluster/share/playbooks/roles/easybuild/tasks/main.yml:54

fatal: [frontend001]: FAILED! => {"msg": "The field 'environment' has an invalid value, which includes an undefined variable. The error was: 'lmod_force_version' is undefined\n\nThe error appears to be in '/home/elasticluster/share

/playbooks/roles/easybuild/tasks/main.yml': line 54, column 3, but may\nbe elsewhere in the file depending on the exact syntax problem.\n\nThe offending line appears to be:\n\n\n- name: Run the bootstrap script\n  ^ here\n"}

Many thanks for your help

Regards

Peter

Hello Peter,

definitely a bug in the ElastiCluster playbook -- I can indeed reproduce it.

I'll try to post a fix later today.

Thanks a lot for reporting!

By the way, as far as I know, this is the first time someone who is
not me uses EB with ElastiCluster (hence, the sad state of the
playbook) -- care to share impressions and use cases when you're done?

Ciao,
R

Hello Peter,

the issue should now be fixed in the "master" branch; the new Docker image
should be ready in about 20 minutes. Don't forget to update your local copy
before retrying:

elasticluster.sh --pull --latest

Let me know if it works for you!

Ciao,
R
