(Please note i have no experience with email servers other than what i have learned playing around with elasticinbox so bear with me)

I have managed to setup elasticinbox so I can receive email from outside clients and the rest interface also works just fine.
Now im trying to connect to pop3 using my email client but im not sure how to do that.
I have opened the ports 25 and 110
From a few google searches i can see that connecting to a pop3 server you need the servername, username and password, but in elasticinbox i can not see how to set a password for an account.
I tried connecting without password but that did not work. What am i missing?

I would very much appreciate it if someone could list the steps needed to retrieve email from pop3 or point me in the right direction

Also, by default there's no authentication on POP3. You can use Nginx or similar proxy for auth. See: https://github.com/elasticinbox/elasticinbox/wiki/POP3-and-IMAP
