Amagician on the decks and responsible for some certified drum 'n' bass classics (we all know the cries of "it's the way" from XRS collab 'LK'), the Brazilian's been in the business for over 15 years, dousing clubbers with his funk-laced tune selection in clubs like Womb in Tokyo, Space in Ibiza and Fabric, where he's invited the likes of Total Science, Marcus Intalex and Fabio along for his popular Innerground Records residency.

Before this summer, the only official album output we had from the Sao Paulo-born DJ and producer was 2004's XRS collaboration 'In Rotation'. Delectable work with fellow Brazilian S.P.Y ('Mystic Sunset', 'Yellow Shoes') has come along since, plus this unreleased gem with Calibre, but he really widened the smiles of d'n'b ravers when he announced debut solo LP 'My Heroes' earlier this year. Lead single 'Silly' quickly became a club anthem and the rest of the album switches between murky basslines ('Be With You'), majestic string work ('Those Moments') and boogie-focused movers ('Freedom').

Lead single 'Silly' quickly became a club anthem and the rest of the album switches between murky basslines ('Be With You'), majestic string work ('Those Moments') and boogie-focused movers ('Freedom'). Proof that he's able to mix it up in the studio and surprise us with a few house and disco-tinged flavours.

If you've seen him DJ before, you'll know all about the way he can deliver the smoothest of rollers, soon switching the mood and firing out a wounding heavy-hitter. If you're not one of the lucky ones who's had the pleasure of him spinning, though, don't worry. You get a Marco Antonio Silva masterclass with this In Session. There's unreleased bits by Break and Ivy Lab, tracks from the album and a brand new Marky remix of A Sides and Makoto.
