This service, used in combination with the Email Template Service, enables team to manage the sending of system emails for Tango. Allowing team to manage system emails rather than the API team provides the Tango team the ability to more quickly iterate and deploy system email changes.

Tango was a surprise. I had gone to the service dog organization for a scheduled check-in and progress update with Lily (our second service dog-in-training) and afterwards, we went to evaluate a potential puppy at a nearby farm.

Tango was one of the easiest dogs to train. Because I already had Lily at work as a service dog-in-training, Tango had to stay home for a couple of months. We worked long days, so I set up a big sort of playpen for Tango complete with sleeping area, water, and a bathroom area. We had a neighborhood girl come in to let him out when she got off the bus, but for the most part, he was alone all day. Aside from the time when he had a stomach bug, he never went to the bathroom in the house.

I started bringing Tango to work fairly early because he was house trained so early. Going to work with Tango was like going to work with a celebrity. He was the third dog to go to work with me, but he made friends wherever he went.

The transition from service dog to pet dog was tough for Tango. He delighted in going places with me and had a really hard time understanding why I left him behind when I went out. To give him a taste of his former life that he loved so much, Tango and I were certified as a therapy dog team.

We spent many years at my old elementary school with kids who had developmental disabilities. He loved those kids so much and really delighted in our weekly trips. They read to him and he hung on every single word.

And then we noticed a very slight limp. Every now and then. Maybe we were imagining it. A year or so later and the limp was still slight, but it was there more often. And then it was there all the time. And before we knew it, there was a ramp to get into the car, a ramp to get into the house, and a ramp to get up just one step within the house.

The medication started, too. Initially just one pill and only when needed. But before it was all over, there were so many drugs, so many times a day. There were joint injections, acupuncture, massage, and laser. We did everything we could for as long as we could.

We were a team. He was mine and I was his. My favorite dog, no matter which dog we had in training, Tango always got the best sleeping spot, the best leftovers, the best toy. I was my best when I was with him.

At device creation time. Some constructors of the DeviceImpl classsupports this field as parameter. If these constructor are not used,the device description field is set to a default value which is ATango device.

Some constructors of the DeviceImpl class allows the initialisation ofdevice state and/or status or device creation time. If these fields arenot defined, a default value is applied. The default state isTango::UNKOWN, the default status is Not Initialised.

The rule of the poll_ring_depth property is obvious. It defines thepolling ring depth for all the device polled command(s) andattribute(s). Nevertheless, when filling the polling buffer via thefill_cmd_polling_buffer() (or fill_attr_polling_buffer()) method,it could be helpfull to define specific polling ring depth for a command(or an attribute). This is the rule of the cmd_poll_ring_depth andattr_poll_ring_depth properties. For each polled object with specificpolling depth (command or attribute), the syntax of this property is theobject name followed by the ring depth (ie State,20,Status,15). If oneof these properties is defined, for the specific command or attribute,it will overwrite the value set by the poll_ring_depth property. Thepoll_old_factor property allows the user to tune how long the datarecorded in the polling buffer are valid. Each time some data are readfrom the polling buffer, a check is done between the date when the datawere recorded in the polling buffer and the date when the user requestthese data. If the interval is greater than the object polling periodmultiply by the value of the poll_old_factor factory, an exception isreturned to the caller. These two properties are defined at device leveland therefore, it is not possible to tune this parameter for each polledobject (command or attribute). The last 3 properties are dedicated todefine a polling period minimum threshold. The propertymin_poll_period defines in (mS) a device minimum polling period.Property cmd_min_poll_period defines (in mS) a minimum polling periodfor a specific command. The syntax of this property is the command namefollowed by the minimum polling period (ie MyCmd,400). Propertyattr_min_poll_period defines (in mS) a minimum polling period for aspecific attribute. The syntax of this property is the attribute namefollowed by the minimum polling period (ie MyAttr,600). These twoproperties has a higher priority than the min_poll_period property. Bydefault these three properties are not defined mening that there is nominimun polling period.
