One thing that has remained the same is our ability to design beautiful decks for our customers. Thank you for considering a project during these difficult times and if there is anything at all we can help you with, please contact your local builder.
Done. Now your Card1 cards will be on Deck1 and all your Card2 cards will be on Deck2, and you will see the same notes on both decks.
Note: if you have many subdecks in Deck1, then you need to recreate the same subdeck structure in Deck2 and move the cards to the apropriate subdecks.
The Keyboard Maestro native plugin requires a little more setup (typically assigning a virtual column and row, as well as a button ID), but has the unique advantage of allowing KM to communicate back to the button, thus being able to change it's icon and/or title.
In the second screenshot (KMLink plugin), you can see that I have my 10)[AS:ZM] Unmute All macro selected. This can be selected/changed via the dropdown menu, which makes it very easy to change. Since it does not require a virtual row/column nor a button ID, it also does not matter where you place the button; it will always work. The disadvantage is that this method does not allow KM to communicate back to the button, therefore making it impossible to change it's icon/title. For simple macros, and where you do not need any kind of visual feedback on the SD itself, this probably does not matter. Another advantage to the KMLink plugin is the ability to pass a parameter to the KM macro, much like we can do from within KM. This allows you to execute different actions using a single macro all by changing the parameter. For an example see how I use these buttons on my Apple Music profile to play a specific playlist just by changing the parameter in the SD software.
Hi @leicaman, as Niel said in the examples I provided I'm not using pages (though I have started using them on other profiles). The Zoom profile screenshots will show you that I named the profile itself "Meetings (3)". The 3 is important (to me) because I prepend my virtual row/column numbers with it. So a button at the very top-left of that profile becomes R31C31, for profile 3, row 1, column 1. A button at the very bottom-right would become R34C38, for profile 3, row 4, column 8. Hope that helps explain it better!

Engaging visuals and strong narrative writing can transform a typical presentation into one that can build consensus and drive change. This course provides instruction on how to use storytelling and design principles to build better presentations with PowerPoint, including creating presentation decks and delivering them effectively in a virtual environment. Participants will learn to identify and respond to audience needs, translate content into appealing visuals, and use simple techniques to maximize the visual impact of their presentation.
This course focuses on learning outcomes that are similar to the By Design: Using Visuals and Narratives to Build Better Presentations (TRN119) classroom course. However, the virtual learning experience leverages hands-on tools and activities intended to better meet the needs of online learners.
This course provides instruction on how to use storytelling and design principles to build better presentation decks with PowerPoint, offering practical design tips and different ways to construct a narrative from complex information and data. Participants will learn to identify and respond to audience needs, translate content into appealing visuals, and use simple techniques to maximize the visual impact of their presentation.
This list below includes pitch decks from leading names in the gaming and eSports space like Diablo and Bioshock, or you can browse the full database here. For today’s lead story? Imagine our surprise when we found out we’d never done a dedicated newsletter about pitch decks for video games. (We’ve covered a dev’s pitch methods sometimes, but that’s it.) So let’s remedy that…
And secondly, Glitch kindly hosts a bunch of sample ‘real’ pitch decks of varying age and relevance, as part of its Founder’s Kit. (We think the Beacon Pines, Button City 2020, and One Lonely Outpost ones are probably the most representative of modern decks.)
At GameDiscoverCo, we conservatively think we’ve seen 500+ pitch decks over the last year (!) as part of our consulting. So were delighted to see that scout & biz dev expert Gwen Foster (Viewfinder, Superhot Presents) recently posted her own, excellent pitch deck sample.
Make decks detail-heavy on ‘ask’, not game explaining: Gwen’s example really only has one or two slides specifically explaining the game/hook. This is because she’s expecting there is either a (target?) gameplay trailer, a playable vertical slice, or both. Spend time on budgets, timelines, and funds/help you need, not 15 slides on weapon types.
What traction did your game (or studio) already get? Gwen has a slide on marketing which asks for Discord, Twitter, or YouTube stats for the dev. We see very few people put this in their decks - perhaps because the stats aren’t too hot? But if your studio (or this game) already got some player love, play it up!
We’re not claiming that all decks have to be identikit. Gwen does note: “Friendly reminder to research who you're pitching to. The decks I've built are very different, and I mostly use this template as a guide. Some people need more information and some don't. Generally this is a checklist that I use as a starting point.”
But with the supply of developers very high, and those funding games having to trawl through a sea of decks to find the most applicable to publish, fund, or feature? You want to present the most salient information succinctly. The game will be the real reason you get funded. But the right deck? It’ll speed you through the process…
Unfortunately we are unable to modify the sizes of some of the free plans, but you can email sup...@decks.com and we will let you know if the plan can be recreated in your size using our Deck Design tool.
