The Texas Girls Collaborative Project (TxGCP) is restarting all leadership teams and committees and would love to have diverse representation from across the entire state. See https://www.txgcp.org/leadership-and-committees for descriptions and terms and the link to apply. Deadline to apply is March 31.
The Texas Girls Collaborative Project (TxGCP) is a statewide network of advocates and educators from non-profits, K-12 schools, universities and colleges, and companies across Texas and beyond who are committed to motivating and supporting women and girls to pursue and thrive in careers in STEM. TxGCP leads the annual Texas Women & Girls in STEM Summit, disseminates curriculum and effective practices, and supports a network of collaborators, resource sharing and STEM communications throughout the state. TxGCP is a state collaborative of the National Girls Collaborative Project powered by STEMwise Connections.
Due to the passage of SB17 (anti DEI in higher ed bill - https://compliance.utexas.edu/sb17), as of November 2023, the Texas Girls Collaborative Project (TxGCP) operations have moved outside The University of Texas at Austin. While TxGCP maintained limited operation and core programming over the past year under great uncertainty, strategy and overall leadership/community engagement was on hold. Now is the time to regroup, strategize for the future, and ensure we continue to advance gender equity in STEM and support the educators, advocates and organizations doing important work across Texas.
TxGCP is thankful for the educators and advocates, STEM professionals and STEM enthusiasts, and all who join in to drive the operations, leadership, and championing of TxGCP network efforts, activities, awards, events, and more! Join us! https://www.txgcp.org/leadership-and-committees
Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks,
Tricia Berry
