Getting our act together...

To the populace of El Dorado,

I greet you and hope to find you all in good health. We have been
taking some time off for various reasons, and now it is time to start
renewing are commitment to the game we love. So, I am calling for a
populace meeting, as we have a few things to discuss and we should all
hear what is said first hand. The 1st of October, which is in two
weeks, at the Mcdonalds on Main street in Anthony. If someone has a
better place, I am welcome to suggestions, but this seems to be
central to most people. I know some people will have a bit of a
drive, but call around maybe we can get some carpools together.

We have to discuss memberships, direction, getting back in the swing
of things, and what we are going to do for the Las Cruces Renn Faire.

If you are unable to attend please let me know, I would like a general
idea of who is going to be there.

I doubt I will be able to make the meeting in two weeks. I AM planning on attending the Las Cruces Ren Faire however. I have renewed my membership for this year.

     I am sorry I will be unable to attend as I have a feast to cook for the War of the Staked Plains. It opens on the 30th of Sept and ends 2 Oct this year. It would wonderful if you all could attend. Alas the dreaded prior commitments.

By the way I'm a life member; and I'm 6 hr away

      I understand that Umbra have came up with membership cards and has arrange for Tandy's to give discounts for Adrian Empire members. Will we have membership cards  to prove our membership and take part in the discounts?

HRG Sir Gilbert Ost Westley,

We are trying to regain our feet after a year of problems, but we would still like to journey to meet you, absolutely.  We will find a way eventually, but for now we are just trying to get people playing again.  Work, health, and family problems plagued us for most of the year, and so we are way behind on just about everything.  We will get better, too many people love the game we all play to let anything happen, but it will take us a while to start traveling again.

Thanks for the invite and we will make the trip, when is the problem.

Honestly I am torn, as a knight I have responsability to the duchy, but I am very fond of Staked Plains, I autocratted that even more times then I can remember and I do miss seeing Mari the Far Traveler.

 

As to cards there is no reason why this branch of Adria should not be able to issue cards, the Empire doesn't as a rule and truthfully the website does not discharge it's duty as it should, this has been a continuing problem, the best thing to do is carefully track your checks or whatever method of payment you have made.

 

Counter to the Imperial site we are not and have never been a shire we are a duchy and will be such until our memberships fall below 20 or inactivity takes us.

 

As His Grace has said there are many things to think and and speak about insofar as the welfare of the Duchy goes, I leave those matters to him as is meet.
