conference call

Hello to all,
It was suggested that we do a conference call so everyone could meet
and say hello. We have 17 members now,but we have not had much
communication with each other. I can set up a Genesys conference call
so we could meet and say hello and discuss whatever you like.
I would just be the method and one of you would faciliate the get
together. This might make it easier then to call one another and ask
for help or just run ideas by another person.
Let me know if you say yes or no to the call and some times that might
work for you.

Thanks for helping our group get off the ground.  I think an intro conference call would be great.  Maybe we could each introduce ourselves, describe our ELC-related role(s) at our agency, something we need help with, and something we can share with others.  (??)

 

I am typically available Monday & Wednesday after 10am (except 2/25).

I look forward to the meetings again. You know that we were out for three weeks, then I was out for two weeks (Bell’s Palsy episode). Then, my wife was hospitalized for a week with acute respiratory failure. She is back at work and I am back feeling  fine…hopefully it will remain that way.  I just missed the golden handshake by 2 years, so two more years to go!!  Thanks for all you do…John

We will have a conference call on Monday 2/23/09 from 1 to 2pm. I hope all of you will be able to call in for this meeting. Mia Reed will be the leader since she is the person that set up the Google group for us all.

Please let me know if you plan on using the wiki for viewing and downloading documents or if you plan on contributing to the wiki by editing, uploading documents and sharing materials. I’ll need to change your setting from “writer” to “editor”.

 

For those that would like to contribute to the wiki by sharing documents there are a few things to keep in mind.

 

Any document you upload to the wiki, please rename the document with the name of your school or city before the document.  For example, instead of simply “Task 1 employment” I should put “Downey Task 1 employment”.  Pbwiki doesn’t allow a user to post pages, documents, and such with the same document names, even if they are in different folders. If we put the name of our school this will help avoid this problem.

I have what you need. I won't have time to post to the wiki, but can send you the documents via email or send you a cd of what we did for that unit. I'm not going to be an EL Civics Coordinator next year so if anyone wants to take over the WIKI, let me know. My husband and I made a family decision to cut my hours to spend more time at home with our little one. I had hoped that my Administrator would keep me doing resource but prefers to have me in the classroom.
