My name is Jikan Anderson. I am a novice priest (doshu) affiliated
with the Tendai Buddhist Institute. I lead a group in the Washington,
DC area called the Great River Ekayana Sangha; you can find out more

I started this group with the intention of creating a space for
discussing these teachings in a democratic way with like-minded
people. I have no expectation for how it might turn out. This is an
experiment. Regardless of all that, I look forward to discussing the
Ekayana Buddhist teachings with you.

Seeing as I've spoke to you both recently through Dharma Wheel
(adept), I thought I would join. :)
Hopefully, even without a nearby Sangha, I'll be able to deepen my
knowledge and insight, and through time contribute.

Hi Jikan and All,
Question: Is this meant to be a Tendai discussion group, a Nichiren
group (just because strangely you've posted the invite in the Nichiren
section), or generally about Ekayana?

Hi Astus,
About Ekayana generally, with an emphasis on the Lotus Sutra, in a nonsectarian way. When I promoted this group on the Dharmawheel board, I put it in the Nichiren section because I wanted it to be clear: this is not intended to be a Tendai-exclusive discussion.
