Well hello,

It's been over four years since I last e-mailed this list.

In the meantime, I've actually been using Ekam quite a bit! For those that don't know, I no longer work at Google. In 2013 I developed a Protobuf replacement called Cap'n Proto and in 2014 I started on a platform for personal servers called Sandstorm (roughly: Sandstorm is to Server Linux as Android is to Desktop Linux).

For both projects, I have primarily used Ekam as my build tool. However, it's still quirky enough that I've generally fallen back to autotools or plain make when publishing code for use by others. Now I'd like to fix that, and make Ekam the official build system of Sandstorm.

I've also switched from Eclipse to Qt Creator as my IDE of choice, and have written a Qt Creator plugin for Ekam. Alas, the Eclipse plugin has bitrotted out of existence, as has any support for non-Linux platforms.

In any case, I've been cleaning up some of Ekam's rough edges and documenting it better. Check out the updated project here:

Since people will be using Ekam now, I expect there will be some new activity on this mailing list. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up!

Anyway, let me know what you think.
