Ekal Fundraising Musical Event 2019 Report.

Hello Everyone

Namaste 

We are proud to announce that with everyone's support we completed 10 yrs & conducted 11th Ekal Annual Musical Fundraising Event on Sat Mar 30th. 

Dinner was served before the musical program. The tasty food was from Saffron Restaurant in Lexington. 

Program started with routine of lighting Diya which represents bringing light of education & knowledge to millions underprivileged children of India, by our consistent donors & supporters, followed by Ekal video. Ekal power point presentation was by CP, Parul Dalal, included update on Ekal's achievements & presentation on recent visit to Ekal school. 

Artists were invited and introduced on the stage by Padma Bhosle. 

The Heartbeat Group from Calcutta, filled the evening with music & beautiful bollywood songs. 

We had Guests & Ekal supporters from Columbia, Orangeburg, Greenville, Augusta GA & Raleigh NC. 

Special Guest Speaker Mrs. Arunima Sinha, devotee & Chairman emirate of Hindu Temple, was invited before intermission. 

After enjoying delicious dinner & musical first half audience enjoyed tea & cracker during intermission. 

Program continued with vote of thanks & encouraging the audience to be part of the noble cause by sponsoring schools by Parul Dalal. 

2nd half started with instrumental medley by the musicians mesmerized everyone. 

Some songs energized the audience, made them dance on Ghumar, zingaat & garba songs. It became more exciting for Ekal volunteers as we raised schools close to 50.  

The program was concluded with patriotic songs. The artists poured their hearts to entertain everyone. 

Overall the event went by smoothly & in timely manner. Those who attended surely enjoyed & left happily. 

EVERYONE DESERVES APPRECIATION -

Once again Thanks to all for your support. We collected 50 + schools & 10+ pledges. All the sponsors were presented with a small gift as a token of appreciation. The list of past donors was scrolled on screen several times. 

A big Thanks to all the members of Ekal team & volunteers. With your time & dedication only we have been able to sustain for these many years.

Thanks the team from Augusta & friends from Columbia to set up & serve the food. Thanks Padma for helping me to have gift bags ready, stage set up, cafeteria set up. 

Thanks Rupal Shah for bringing snacks for the artists. 

Thanks to Kishor Pokhrana making this event unforgettable by taking pictures & videos. 

Thanks to our employees who helped bring the food, and clean the cafeteria. 

Thanks to Whiteknoll high school all in charge members for letting us use the facility. Special thanks

to the custodian. 

Thanks to all I may have missed & to all the spouses for your support.
