Vanakkam Sethu,
I have changed settings so that spammers cannot join the group without our approval. This will solve the problem.
Group will still be unmoderated for members.

Moderation is necessary to keep out such spam post I am responding to.

Guess it was the first spam to our list and hope the last too; because
spams with such adult stuff if not kept out can cause loss of our
group - I had seen sometime back in googlegroups policies that any
post of adults nature should not be accommodated in a google group
that is not restricted to access by minors; but if violated the
group's owner / moderator could be denied admin access. Take care
