EJUG is meeting from 12 noon to 1pm on Wednesday, April 18th in the Canadian boardroom in the basement of the Canadian Western Bank building, located at 10303 Jasper Ave.

Topic: Designing and Implementing Secure Applications

This talk will cover several design principles you should consider when architecting secure software. For each principle an example will be demonstrated of a secure implementation in Java. Some recent anecdotes of insecure apps will be related for your amusement and horror.

Presenter: Mark Gordon

Mark has a long history of building and running applications, from industrial control firmware through enterprise management systems to web apps. In the past decade he has often been responsible for aspects of encryption, system security and secure design. Mark is preparing for (ISC)2's Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) exam.
