EJUG is meeting from 12 noon to 1pm on Wednesday, November 23rd in the
Western boardroom in the basement of the Canadian Western Bank
building, located at 10303 Jasper Ave.
Topic: Cloud Development Made Easy – Introducing Cloud Foundry
The buzz word “Cloud Computing” has been around for a while, and it
becomes hotter this year. This presentation will first explain what is
cloud computing, why it is important and then focus on Cloud Foundry,
an open source Platform as a Service project. It will introduce the
architecture of Cloud Foundry, demonstrate how easy it is to develop
and deploy business application to cloud with the help of Spring Roo
and Spring Tool Suite.
Presenter: Yuan Ji
Yuan is an independent IT consultant and contractor, currently working
at Alberta Blue Cross as application designer and developer. He has
been following Cloud Computing for years, and went to Spring One
Conference in Chicago last month to learn more about future trends of
software development. Besides his passion of software, he is an active
member and executive of TM4PM Toastmaster Club. The club meets every
Tuesday night from 6pm to 7:30pm in the basement of the Canadian
Western Bank building (10303 Jasper Ave) to practice public speaking
and leadership skills.
