imnot exactly sure when the problem happened specifically, but after using -test.ru/ to see if my superkey is being detected or not i noticed the output is shown as pause/play, i tried some other enviroments i have as well as windows and the issue persists through all of them, im using an acer nitro an515-54 but couldnt see anything on the manual that relates to locking the superkey. dmesg and journalctl seem clean from what ive tried and im clueless here.

edit:

turns out nitrosense can lock the superkey input (for some reason i guess it disables the key on the hardware level or redirects it to be pause/play), just need to make sure the option for windows and menu key is enabled.
