Dear Craig:   I am pleased to formally invite you to the 2010 Global Entrepreneurship Congress to be held in Shanghai, China, from March 28-31, 2011.   I first convened this Congress in 2009 at the Kauffman Foundation in the United States, and then again in Dubai, U.A.E. in 2010. The Global Entrepreneurship Congress has emerged as a premier gathering of top leaders from government and the private sector from more than 100 nations. Together we share a common mission to advance entrepreneurialism and form a vital network of national talent, programs and research. We are also the leaders behind Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s largest celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit where each year millions of people around the world unleash their ideas—injecting dynamism into their economy and innovations into society.   This year we will again be joined by Carl Schramm, President of the Kauffman Foundation, along with a prestigious delegation that will include ministers and entrepreneurs. The Global Entrepreneurship Congress will begin with an open, all-day summit on global entrepreneurship trends March 29th at the Shanghai International Convention Center. The remaining two days, March 30th and 31st, will be open only to official delegates and their guests and dedicated to the executive sessions of the leaders behind Global Entrepreneurship Week. Some of the sessions will divide into two tracks – one for those executing a GEW campaign and one for funders and other leaders driving entrepreneurship policy or programs. For new Hosts and new campaign managers, a special pre-Congress session will be convened on March 28th, guided by current leaders of national campaigns. For those who confirm their attendance by December 31, 2010, we are able to provide travel and accommodations for up to one person per country.
