Hi All...
I'm trying to create a set of ethernet/IP devices on the same Windows machine, but I'm having problems running two instances of OpEner. Practically only the first one that connects works. Is this solution theoretically possible? I have used two different network interface or multiple ip address on the same network card with the same result. The same software if i used different windows pc works without problems. I use a contrologix PLC as scanner device.   Sorry for my lack of knowledge of the Ethernet/IP protocol but my company has not yet completed the registration process to obtain the specifications.
thank you
Filippo

Hi,

one ENIP device per IP Address, as the protocol does not know the use case that muliple ENIP devices are behind one IP, which totally makes sense for most fieldbusses.

Check https://github.com/EIPStackGroup/OpENer?tab=readme-ov-file#running-an-opener-swarm on how to run multiple OpENer instances on one PC using docker.

Best regards,
Martin
