Where were the contracts? Rust, by all accounts the language of the code at the source of the problem, is one of the fashionable choices at the moment but does nothing to provide what serious software engineering demands.

Hi Bertrand,
I read your Cloudflare post and recognized the frustration of sounding like a broken record. This essay is my attempt to move from argument to action — xpact is already being built by Anders Persson. Perhaps this is the practical demonstration the argument has been waiting for.
