Hi all,

when xml-saving eid card with the eidViewer (with different versions), some of our users note that some eid file does not contain
the certificates. Any reason for this?

Hello,

That must be a bug.
Can you provide more info regarding the version of the Viewer and the OS it happened on?

And were all certificates missing, or just e.g. the authentication cert?

In the reported case, it was 4.0.7 and probably W7 or W10 (OSs used by most of our clients). And all the certificates
were missing (but the picture was there).

The 4.0.7 version of the viewer is rather old (two years, at least). I
don't recall a bug of that sort in that version of the viewer, but it's
been a while and I might just misremember.

The most recent version of the viewer has been reimplemented as a native
application (in C# for the Windows platform) and therefore it is likely
that the stated problem no longer exists there.

Can you try if you can reproduce this issue with a 4.2 version of the
viewer? If you can, please file an issue with as much information as
possible in our github issue tracker so we can make sure the bug gets
fixed properly. The URL for that is https://github.com/Fedict/eid-mw/issues

Thanks,

Thanks for the fast reply. I will try to know more precisely if the cases also exist on the 4.2.x. On my pc I have never the issue: I use
4.2.8 and also the "beta" 4.2.10 with VS2017 when I need to delve into the pkcs11 C++ module.
