Hi,

Whenever I try to log in the eID test site https://idp.iamfas.belgium.be/fasui/login/eidservice I always get this error:

An error occurred during a connection to certif.iamfas.belgium.be. A PKCS #11 module returned CKR_DEVICE_ERROR, indicating that a problem has occurred with the token or slot.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_PKCS11_DEVICE_ERROR

The card is recognised, since it shows my certificate with my data (still valid). However it gives me the error above without asking me the PIN. May it be a certificate problem?
I am trusting already Belgium Root CA3. Also, eID Belgium plugin and eID-archive.deb are installed, and eid-viewer works.

Firefox is 76.0.1 and OS Debian with linux 4.9.0

Any idea of how what could be happening or how to debug?

Thanks and kind regards,
Esteban

Hi Steve,

CKR_DEVICE_ERROR means something went wrong on a low level in the communication between the system and the card. It could be your card, or it could be the reader, or it could be something at the USB level.

For this type of issue, please contact the BOSA service desk through https://eid.belgium.be/en/contact who will be happy to help you.

Regards,
