How to use Belgian eID with a Chromebook/Chromebox ??

Dears

Has anyone fresh information on how to use the belgian eID on a Chromebook/Chromebox ? (actually a CloudReady system from Neverware)

I found some conflicting information from 2-3 years ago in this thread but no real solution : https://groups.google.com/g/eid-middleware-dev/c/GMazZApUJ4s?pli=1

I am just trying to connect to the Taxonweb and myhealth viewer and the like from a ChromeOS...

Hi Philippe,

We looked at this several years ago, but found that the APIs in ChromeOS to support smart cards are insufficient for us to provide the required support:

We did file a bug with google (link in the above issue), but so far the requested additions for ChromeOS have not been implemented.

As such, proper support for the eID is not available on ChromeOS.
