Hello,

As part of a custom development, my client needs to be able to access the information on the ID card.
This card will be connected to the computer using a card reader plugged in USB.
The application will be opened and used on a web browser, and it will be developed in React.

Is there a way for my application to read the information on the ID card when it is plugged into the computer?
I admit that I don't know how to do it.

Hi Alessio,

Apologies on the late reply.

There is no way to directly access the ID card from any Javascript-based project; this includes React. The reason for that is that the browser does not allow access to the computer hardware for security reasons, which would be required.
