When Firefox (Version 47.0) starts, we get the warning " Configuratie voor de Belgische elektronische identiteitskaart is mislukt. Is de EID-Middleware geïnstalleerd?". The fact is that everything
works normally! One can use the EID-card without any problems. (I managed to fill in my taxes :-) ). Almost 4 users on the linux-mint-forum confirmed this issue.

There is also another cosmetic problem. The link that suggests to install the middleware is broken: http://eid.belgium.be/nl/Hoe_installeer_je_de_eID

I switched off the warning. So it doesn't bother me any longer, but it might be nice to fix this warning.

If I can do some trouble-shooting, please let me know.

Hello,

Thank you for reporting and your offer to help.

Mozilla has changed the return value of a function we use:
https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/63fdedf32876
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1220237

var modules = this.getPKCS11ModuleDB().listModules();
//Mozilla changed listModules from being a nsIEnumerator to being a nsISimpleEnumerator

This causes our plugin to think no eid pkcs11 modules were found, and therefore it shows the warning that the eID would not be installed

So we changed our eid addon, but it might take some time before Mozilla signs this changed addon.

Switching off the warning is indeed the way to go.

That link got changed indeed, I will update it, thanks.

Wkr,
 Frederik
