legal framework

Sorry if this question should be posted somewhere else, but I couldn't
find any information in the FAQ.

Is there a text/brochure that explains in a simple way the legal
framework for the (non public sector) use of the eID? As in: do I need
an autorisation from somebody, do I need one if my application doesn't
use the national number, etc..?
So I can develop without getting in trouble later.

Hi Eric,

All of this is under control of the privacy commission. Check out their web site.
http://www.privacycommission.be/

We are working on this area to make the eID more accessible for private companies. For the moment however I cannot give you any more details on this.
