Articles for the Website
If you would like to write an article for EIANZ Ecology, please get in
touch. Short, concise articles with an image and some links to other
information on line would be suitable. All articles should be
accompanied by your name, affiliation, qualifications and a short
biography.
Posting to the Discussion Group
Just a reminder - you can now post a discussion to the Google Group by sending an
email to
eianze...@googlegroups.com. Messages will be moderated and
can be read via the EIANZ Ecology website. A link to the message thread will also be included
in the list of recent posts sent out in this circular every couple of
weeks.
"Breaking the Barriers" Symposium on Linear InfrastructureEIANZ
SEQ is running a 3-day symposium - a must for any environmental
consultant and ecologist who works on linear developments such as
roads, railways and pipelines. See the link to postings below for more
detail.
A symposium brochure can be downloaded here.
Professional Certification
We need appropriately qualified ecologists to become certified so we can establish the reputation of CEnvP. Please, if you qualify, do apply at
http://www.cenvp.org
for the next round. If you do not yet have the relevant number of years
experience, then please consider joining EIANZ and becoming actively
involved in understanding the principles under which practitioners
work. Over time, there is a real scope to improve the profession if we
take our own initiative to regulate standards.
