Hi,

The latest postings contain the presentations from the recent forum on Biodiversity Offsets in Canberra, hosted by EIANZ ACT, as well as a few other articles of relevance. Biodiversity offsets are fast being considered as a key part of environmental legislation and are very likely to drive ecological impact assessment in years to come. They are also a widely accepted best practice method with considerable cost-benefits for projects ranging from small urban developments to large controversial developments in wilderness areas. There is already a considerable body of information on offsets that can be found on the EIANZ Ecology website, accessible from the articles below.
