Workshop on 9th Feb 2007

Our SOS group, conducted a workshop "BASICS IN FIRST AID" , on last Friday, the 9th Feb 2007, at the ICC Ashoka Hall, for the Indian School children of Qatar. This event was organised by ICBF, who has appreciated our earlier workshop for the school children in last Sep 2006 on "Learning through Service", which was a grand success and received appreciation from HE, the Ambasador of India, Qatar.

 

On 9th Feb 2007, about 46 children from Birla Public, Delhi Public, Ideal Indian, MES schools have partcipated. The programme commenced with an inspiring song & dance by 3 children of our SOS-EHV group, followed by an equally inspiring presentation by the duo Rajaram-Venkat.

 

After a break, the children were shown, in batches, practical demonstration of basic first aid techniques by Dr. Malini Chandrasekharen and Dr Jeyalakshmi. (Some of the elders witnessing this, also got wiser by the demo). Brother Nagesh Rao of our SOS family ( of Al Hilal Pharmacy ) also demonstrated the various contents of a typical first aid box to the children.

 

All the children enjoyed the programme which was evident from their active participation during the entire event.

 

Last but not the least, the entire programme was ably anchored and coordinated by our Sister Milan Arun, who also choreographed the dance.

 

The same programme will be conducted for another batch of children on the 23rd of Feb 2007 at ICC hall.
