OM SRI SAI RAM.

Dear brothers and sisters,

With the Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, we could perform a small act of service, as His tools. Through ICBF, SOS delivered the 55 Gift Hampers for the Lady inmates of the deportation cell. One of our sisters from SOS family, Mrs Usha Khanna accompanied the Indian Embassy and ICBF officials to the cell and handed over the packets in person. A report of her visit is given below for your information.

I am reminded of a Tamil proverb… they say “Oor Koodi, Thear Izhuththal.. meaning that the Temple Chariot Car should (can only) be drawn by all the people of the village…

Similarly, this act of service was possible only with the whole hearted support and voluntary contributions from you all.

May Swamy Bless you all with peace, bliss and joy for ever.

Sai Ram.

Visit to the Deportation Centre :-

Mr Basheer and Mr Srivastava from the Indian Embassy; Mrs Veni Maroli ICBF and Usha Khanna SOS

200 hampers for the male section were donated by ICBF,and 55 hampers for the female section were donated by SOS.

First port of call was the female centre.  Most of the women had absconded from their sponsors. Only one complained of bodily harm. The others felt the pay was too little and had run away.  A few  had family obligations  and wished to go home. Some had voluntarily surrendered themselves to the Embassy or CID.   There was one case of slight mental disturbance.

We gave away 50 hampers (all present received them as well as  a few who had not attended )

We then drove over to the male section.  We talked to all of them who were present, took their details down, (all the records are with the embassy.). We gave away around 120 hampers.

The rest of the hampers have been stored at the embassy for future visit.

Veni Maroly was impressed with SOS packing.  She asked me to thank Dr Malini and her team for their hard work.

SAI RAM.

Kind regards

Usha
