During production, the film's English title was changed from The Snow Queen to Frozen, a decision that drew comparisons to another Disney film, Tangled. Peter Del Vecho explained that "the title Frozen came up independently of the title Tangled. It's because, to us, it represents the movie. Frozen plays on the level of ice and snow but also the frozen relationship, the frozen heart that has to be thawed. We don't think of comparisons between Tangled and Frozen, though." He also mentioned that the film will still retain its original title, The Snow Queen, in some countries: "because that just resonated stronger in some countries than Frozen. Maybe there's a richness to The Snow Queen in the country's heritage and they just wanted to emphasize that."[41]
To obtain certain snow and ice sound effects, sound designer Odin Benitez traveled to Mammoth Mountain, California, to record them at a frozen lake.[86] However, the foley work for the film was recorded on the foley stage on the Warner Bros. Pictures lot by a Warner Bros. crew.[77][132] The foley artists received daily deliveries of 50 pounds (22.6 kg) of snow ice while working, to help them record all the necessary snow and ice sounds for the film.[77] Because the film's visuals were finalized so late, five separate versions of nearly every footstep on snow were recorded (corresponding to five different types of snow), then one was later selected during mixing to match the snow as rendered in the final version of each scene.[77] One issue that the production team was "particular" about was the sound of Elsa's footsteps in the ice palace, which required eight attempts, including wine glasses on ice and metal knives on ice; they ended up using a mix of three sounds.[77]
Grandpa Bredo is over 120 years old. For years, he was the resident of a Tuff Shed in the hills above Nederland, Colorado, just 40 miles south of Estes Park, where he remained very, very, very cold. These days, Grandpa is still frozen in a state of suspended animation, awaiting the big thaw. The one that will bring him back to life.
Germplasm stored in the Frozen Zoo has the potential to produce offspring when used for in vitro oocyte maturation and fertilization, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer. Successful artificial insemination of cryopreserved sperm has produced chicks of several pheasant species, and frozen cat oocytes have been matured and fertilized in vitro to form advanced stage embryos. Using methods developed in the domestic cat model, thawed cheetah sperm has fertilized an in vitro matured cheetah oocyte, which then developed into an embryo. With intracytoplasmic sperm injection, southern white rhino oocytes were fertilized with sperm frozen for 20 years.
I grew up in the Virgin Islands and frozen drinks always make me nostalgic for home I am going to make these when the heat wave hits this week and sit outside with a book and pretend I am reading at the beach.

Treatment for frozen shoulder involves range-of-motion exercises. Sometimes treatment involves corticosteroids and numbing medications injected into the joint. Rarely, arthroscopic surgery is needed to loosen the joint capsule so that it can move more freely.
One of the most common causes of frozen shoulder is not moving a shoulder while recovering from a shoulder injury, broken arm or stroke. If you've had an injury that makes it difficult to move your shoulder, talk to your health care provider about exercises that can help you maintain your ability to move your shoulder joint.
A full freezer will hold a safe temperature for approximately 48 hours (24 hours if it is half full and the door remains closed). Food may be safely refrozen if it still contains ice crystals or is at 40F (4C) or below, however, its quality may suffer. Never taste food to determine its safety. Use this chart as a general guide.

Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt has nothing on the frozen yogurt recipe I just tried from David Lebovitz's new cookbook - The Perfect Scoop. In front of me was a book brimming with both exotic and classic ice cream flavors, so it might seem a bit peculiar to go the frozen yogurt route, I know. But Wayne has been gone all week and knowing how much he loves yogurt, I thought I'd chip the freezer burn off my ice cream maker and churn up a batch of frozen yogurt for him to enjoy when he gets home from the airport.
Let me tell you, I was expecting something good, but in all seriousness, I may never (ever) go back to ice cream. And before you can say it, I'm not just sucking up to David because he's a friend, his simple, simple recipe served as inspiration for a wonderfully tangy, not-too-sweet, creamy white cloud of perfect frozen deliciousness. And believe me, as a California native, I know good fro-yo when I taste it. It is a rare thing.
