What's the difference between Emergency stop button and Safety interlock switch?

Dear All,

 

请教一个问题：在我们公司的设备上，很多都有安全急停开关和联锁开关，当打开防护罩时，由于联锁开关断开，设备会自动停止，能够有效的保护员工，但是，既然有联锁开关，为什么还要设置急停开关呢，它们在安全作用上有什么区别？或者他们在设计上有什么本质的区别呢？或者说，联锁开关连接的是旁电路，而急停连接的是主电路？谢谢，急于得到你们的解答。

 

I have a problem about Emergency stop button and Safety interlock switch.

 

There are lots of Emergency stop button and Safety interlock switch on our macines. Machines will stop while disconnect the Safety interlock switch of security cover of machine, and it can protect our operators. So, my prolems is that there are lots of Safety interlock switch of all covers, why there is need a emergency stop button? and  what's the difference between Emergency stop button and Safety interlock switch? or, what's difference of there design? or, safety interlocks switch connected with bypass electricity system, not control the main electricity system?

打个比方，我觉得他们两者就像播放器的“暂停”和“停止” 按键。

 

连锁开关 就像“暂停”，紧急停止按钮 就像“停止”。

 

不知道我这样理解是不是正确的。

急停有时比联锁控制的范围更大，

急停按下后，如果启动需要按下开始 开关

连锁只要关上就启动了

个人建议，仅供参考

Emergency stop control more electrical equipment than interlock switch

If you restart machine after active emergency stop, the start button should be pressed again.

The machine will restart automatically if interlock is connected.

Hello,

Emergency stop is hardwire to power supply cabinet, the energy was
isolated, but interlock is controlled by ECP, the energy was not
completely isolated, so the E-stop is better safety than interlock
switch.

Totally different purpose and design. The interlock is a mechanical
safaty guard used for preventing workers from contact the moving parts
or sharp edge. The emergency stop is switch to S/D power.driving the
machine such as electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic......, which can be
controlled by LCP or DCS / PLC.
