VAF believes that animation craft and artists should be celebrated, cultivated, and communicated. The festival offers animation-related film programs, cultural events, and professional conferences through the four tracks: VAF KIDS, VAF FILM, VAF CULTURE, and VAF INDUSTRY. The events are for the broader public, people in the animation industry, as well as potential consumers of animated content.
VAF supports cooperations and efforts to expand the potential within the animation industry across borders and create awareness of the discipline. The focus is on the development of capacity and competencies in the industry to accommodate current and future clients. A specific emphasis is on events supporting, cultivating, and promoting Danish talent.
Viborg Animation Festival (VAF) is the biggest animation festival in Denmark and is a celebration of all things animated. The festival offers animation-related film programs, cultural events, and professional. The events are for the broader public, people in the animation industry, as well as potential consumers of animated content.
VAF seeks to push the boundaries for animation and challenge the perception of what animation is and can be. A wide range of attractive, high-quality animation experiences presents Danish and international film culture to the locals in Viborg and interested parties from all over the country. In addition to the film program VAF also presents workshops, exhibitions, talks, cultural events, and a vast industry track featuring seminars and conferences.
It will be a week where children and adults, professionals and curious alike get an exciting possiblity of experiencing everything what an animation festival can offer of exhibitions, events, film screens, art, conferences and much, much more.
The EuroVelo & Cycling Tourism Conference 2024 will take place in the Tinghallen conference venue and will start with a welcome reception on Monday 23 September. On Tuesday 24 September, a full day of plenary and parallel sessions will take place, before a networking dinner. Wednesday 25 September will be dedicated to technical visits on bicycles. Generation Handball is a recurring, international handball tournament held in Viborg with both indoor and outdoor handball tournaments and social events for young handball players in the age of 9-20 years who strengthen friendship and make new friends across clubs, age groups, and nationalities. We are the friendliest handball festival in the world and work hard to put focus on team spirit and social awareness. In 2023, 175 teams from 20 countries participated in the tournament.
Generation Handball takes place over the course of six days in the summer holidays, and it is a cooperation between Viborg Municipality, Viborg Sports Council, and the local handball clubs Bjerringbro FH, Viborg HK, and Sndermarkens IK.

With the current COVID-19 situation in mind, and to maintain the highest level for a World Championship, the organizers of the World Triathlon Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon World Championships in Viborg, along with the Danish Triathlon Federation, the Viborg Municipality, and the partners of the race, have taken the difficult decision to move the event to 7-8 May, 2022. The original date of the event was 2 October, 2021.
Even though the restriction now allows events to take place, the currrent travel restrictions still in place for many countries, especially when it relates to Age Groupers, will make difficult the event to take place as it was originally planned.
The organisers are fully committeed to deliver an event on the new date that will fulfill a bucket list race for athletes all over the world. For athletes matters, all the participants registrations have been automatically moved to the new event in 2022.

AIM: To investigate the added value of myocardial perfusion scintigraphy imaging (MPI) in consecutive patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) and a recent, normal exercise electrocardiography (ECG).
METHODS: This study was a retrospective analysis of consecutive patients referred for MPI during a 2-year period from 2006-2007 at one clinic. All eligible patients were suspected of suffering from CAD, and had performed a satisfactory bicycle exercise test (i.e., peak heart rate > 85% of the expected, age-predicted maximum) within 6 mo of referral, their exercise ECG was had no signs of ischemia, there was no exercise-limiting angina, and no cardiac events occurred between the exercise test and referral. The patients subsequently underwent a standard 2-d, stress-rest exercise MPI. Ischemia was defined based on visual scoring supported by quantitative segmental analysis (i.e., sum of stress score > 3). The results of cardiac catheterization were analyzed, and clinical follow up was performed by review of electronic medical files.
RESULTS: A total of 56 patients fulfilled the eligibility criteria. Most patients had a low or intermediate ATPIII pre-test risk of CAD (6 patients had a high pre-test risk). The referral exercise test showed a mean Duke score of 5 (range: 2 to 11), which translated to a low post-exercise risk in 66% and intermediate risk in 34%. A total of seven patients were reported with ischemia by MPI. Three of these patients had high ATPIII pre-test risk scores. Six of these seven patients underwent cardiac catheterization, which showed significant stenosis in one patient with a high pre-test risk of CAD, and indeterminate lesions in three patients (two of whom had high pre-test risk scores). With MPI as a gate keeper for catheterization, no significant, epicardial stenosis was observed in any of the 50 patients (0%, 95% confidence interval 0.0 to 7.1) with low to intermediate pre-test risk of CAD and a negative exercise test. No cardiac events occurred in any patients within a median follow up period of > 1200 d.
