Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the green-ish glow of vampires in this game? I know there used to be a mod called 'Dead People Don't Glow' by Virtual Artisan but as it turns out it's outdated and doesn't work anymore... It's bothering me because the vampire skin look truly terrible on Black sims especially. I tried to turn Alisha Cho from Hidden Springs into a vamp and she just looks green now. So I was wondering if maybe someone made a default replacement skin for vampires that would fix the problem or if there might be a different mod out there that still works? Thanks in advance!
Just a tiny note, this tends to appear under alien skin details as well, quite frequently too, and those cannot be edited off the aliens. Had to delete it to avoid annoyances, but will be keeping an eye to the potential update. Thanks!
This vampire skin is located under skindetail category and is based on my R skin 01. The set contains both, male and female variants of the skin. Check out the individual items to download for one gender only.
There are 2 colours (grey and light skin colour) either with or without dark extremities. In addition there are 2 different variants of abdominal muscles for males.
Do not copy any part of this skin or claim it as your own.

The images I'm including are of the missing eye scars (if that even makes sense), the sim spellcasters generated using genetics, and said Scarecrow. The point is we have missing eye scars for the spellcasters. They are all available for the vampires.
It seems they removed the options for vampiric face features for Spellcasters in CAS but the initial problem didnt get solved. When I create a new Sim by using genetic experiment on an existing spellcaster, nearly all results have at least one of the ugly vampire face features without any option to remove them. Only way to work around this is clicking the create random sibling button as often as it takes the game to give you a face without any of those features, very annoying.
Since I've seen a few posts about hybrid bugs I might add that this (also?) happens if the original Spellcaster was created in the same CAS just a few seconds before, without ever even seeing a vampire.
I was having this problem as well and what worked for me is using cheats in game. I just used the cheat to remove the spellcaster trait and the vampire scars instantly went away. After that I entered the cheat to give her powers back and the scars didn't return.
I thought I was going insane!! I'm also having this issue with my spellcaster sims created in CAS. This thread made me realize they're vampire skin detail options (eye sockets, eye details, etc) that are not available for other occult sims, but for some reason still spawn when randomly generating a spellcaster sim (especially if using "play with genetics"), which means there are not options to remove these details. It feels like it's something like 1 in 10 generated sims that will *NOT* have at least one of these, whether it be the klingon forehead, the cracking face, scars, or the eyebags. At least the brother in this family got the one that looks like emo eye make-up, so it's not *too* horrid.

Just saw this bug in my game were my vampires were missing the skin tones option. Now it could just be me but I was using console so I'm not sure. In the screen shot it's supposed to above the face I'm not sure what happened. =20
Once the vampire sim exists in the game, skin tones seem to become completely unavailable for them without enabling testing cheats as well as CAS full edit mode. I entered CAS via the manage households menu, via gameplay, and via the modify in CAS cheat. I also checked both the facial menu and the body menu, no dice.
Next up are 3 full body outfits (less than for males, omg). I like all of these and I can see myself using them quite a lot on my vampires. I do wish though there were more classy dresses, things might get repetitive for my vampire countesses.
Toddlers and Children are not getting a lot in this pack, in fact toddlers get 0 new toddler items. The only good thing is, that toddlers can still be vampires and use the skin tones and eyes.
So I had a vampire, got fed up with him nearly dieing after randomly waking up in the midle of the day to check out somthing irrelevant, and now he's normal again... but his skin, eye's and facial hair have not reverted back to normal... is this a randomly occuring glitch? Or does it take a while for the sim to regain thier original look? Anyone know a fix for this?
Similar to aliens and mermaids, vampires have a 'Dark Form': their true supernatural appearance which they take on when feeding from humans, but which can be hidden under the guise of an ordinary Sim to help them escape detection in everyday life.
You can also choose whether your vampire Sim defaults to their ordinary or Dark Form appearances by clicking on the active Sim and selecting the option to 'Show/Hide Dark Form' from the 'Vampire' menu.
While vampires can start biological families with other types of Sims (both ordinary and occult), their offspring will inherit the powers of either one parent or the other, hybrid creature types being impossible in The Sims 4.
You don't have to commit your Sims to any of these aspirations in order for them to become vampires. However, in order to get anywhere with any of these new aspirations, your Sim will need to become a vampire before they can do much else towards fulfilling their goals.
Sims with the 'Master Vampire' and 'Good Vampire' aspirations will need to achieve certain levels of the skill in order to progress, but all vampire Sims (as well as any staunchly anti-occult Sims who wish to keep the vampires from their door) will benefit from the lessons they learn.
Vampires in The Sims 4 enjoy a number of significant lifestyle perks. A Young Adult, Adult, or Elder who becomes a vampire will immediately and permanently cease to age, meaning that death from old age is no longer something they need to fear.
Thirst decays normally if a vampire Sim doesn't drink Plasma (the Sims-verse euphemism for blood) regularly but, crucially, there is no vampire equivalent to death from starvation: dangerously low Thirst renders a vampire Sim dangerous to others, not to themselves. Vampire Energy, meanwhile, only depletes when the vampire uses their special powers.
There are a total of twenty-five vampire powers in the game, most with multiple levels. New powers are unlocked every time a vampire increases their rank, which they can do by drinking Plasma, increasing their Vampire Lore skill, and using the lower-rank powers they already have.
If you're familiar with vampire fiction you'll probably have a good idea what to expect from these powers: they include the ability to take on other forms; influence the minds of mortals; and generally become stronger, faster, and better than ordinary Sims.
However, if it sounds like becoming a vampire is all fun and games, think again: vampires are subject to some fairly severe limitations, too. By default, they'll be unable to go outside during the day without burning, which causes their Vampire Energy need to rapidly deplete.
This can make holding down a day job tricky, as well as potentially leading to death by sunlight: a unique death type that occurs when the Vampire Energy need hits zero while the vampire is in the sun.
Like Powers, Weaknesses include many classic vampire tropes, such as increased vulnerability to sunlight; overwhelming guilt about their preference of beverage; and other restrictions that impact on a vampire's ability to live an ordinary and fulfilling life.
When a vampire Sim increases their rank, they will sometimes need to take on a weakness in order to gain access to their new powers. The player gets to choose what Weaknesses their vampire Sim takes on.
Weaknesses are limiting by design, and you need to weigh the costs of those limitations against what you want your vampire to be able to gain from their Powers. Some Powers and Weaknesses even conflict with each other, and you can't simply change them once you've made your selection; so choose wisely.
In The Sims 4, you can embark upon a vampiric life no matter where you live. However, if you're looking to really indulge in the vampire aesthetic, you might want to consider checking out Forgotten Hollow, the new world that ships with the game pack.
Of course, Vladislaus Straud and the Vatore siblings are already playable, so if you want to quickly jump in and see what vampires in The Sims 4 can do, you can just load up either household and start playing with them straight away.
Assuming that you didn't purchase the Vampires game pack just to play with those three pre-made characters forever, you're eventually going to want to make some vampires of your own. There are a few ways to go about this, but there's only one method incorporated into ordinary gameplay.
