Microsoft Teams has been configured to use the "Citrix HDX Audio" and "Citrix HDX Web Camera", but this is not working well at all. I am using my MacBook Pro 16 inch (2019) in clamshell mode (lid closed) and only the speakers work, my USB webcam and microphone are not working at all.

No extra device is needed.

I used to use AmaRecTV, and then I switched computers and that no longer functions. Does anyone know of anything? I'd rather not use an online webcam viewer but that seems to be my only option right now. Thanks in advance!

In Windows XP, there used to be a way to view the webcam (I've forgotten exactly how, but it was there). In Windows 7, this feature doesn't seem to be there, so I'm looking for a simple program to let me view the webcam, and take a picture.

Yawcam is a shortening for Yet Another WebCAM software, and that's exactly what it is ;-) More precise Yawcam is a webcam software for windows written in java. The main ideas for Yawcam are to keep it simple and easy to use but to include all the usual features.

We actually updated from windows 7 professional to windows 10 and the problem resolved itself. We are having another problem now where we with calibrate everything and it works fine for a little while then all of a sudden everything will be out of alignment by an inch or so.

I tried to stress my memory but its hollow.. try old Logitech stuff and search on drivers guide for webcam drivers with Win98 fiter.. There are were webcams even i ancient times, they were for rich bastards, but they were.. I remember some episode of Computer chronicles with them, BTW great retro second / third monitor stuff..

Many older digital cameras, in the 4 to 12 megapixel era/range, offered software discs or downloads (drivers). They often allowed you to use your camera as a webcam. As long as it wasn't a terrible interpolating camera, you could probably beat the pants off of any Win9x compatible webcam. Just searching now, it didn't take me long to find some, with Win98 support.

Description of the issue:
Notification from my internet security application of Brave Browser attempts to access my webcam frequently while surfing the web although I choose not to allow sites to use my camera in Settings->Security and Privacy->Site and Shields Settings->Permissions

How can this issue be reproduced?
While surfing the web when open some sites in a new tab (like opening YouTube video) I got this notification from my internet security that Brave Browser attempts to access my webcam (although it should ask first if the previously mentioned setting is allowed).

Without constant policing by the many, many sources of those scripts, How do you know, that the scripts are safe? That the scripts are not Key Loggers nor grabbing images of your Internet browser windows?

I know this is an old question, but it's the first result on Google. I tried AvaCam it worked great, but it would update my clipboard with the most recent frame from my webcam. I got fed up and looked for a different program.

Once testing is complete, you can leave a review about your webcam. This is not required, but we encourage you to do so in order to help other people to purchase a good webcam and get around the bad ones. In addition, after publishing your review, you will see how good is your compared camera to others.

To test your camera, all you need is a modern browser (unfortunately, Internet Explorer does not belong to them) that supports features for accessing media devices. As you noticed, this webcam testing tool does not require any additional software like Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight or browser add-ons.

The test results depend on various factors, which is why it is impossible to guarantee an error-free testing algorithm. Nevertheless, we will always improve our testing tool and fix any errors found. If you find any errors or you have any suggestions, please contact us at in...@webcamtests.com
