Hi Eric,

Thanks for your great work on this project. I'm curious whether you are still working on it / maintaining it, or in general what the future is? I'm particularly interested in some of the open issues / enhancements related to use of your library without the annotations (i.e. as a regular interceptor - ideally to wrap caching around 3rd party classes).

Any thoughts or advice for new adopters would be helpful.

I have no plans to do big work on the project like adding stand-along aspect support. Right now I don't have a ton of spare cycles and those that I have are getting spent working on the JSR-107 specification and the RI of the caching annotations. If I get time again I'd love to revisit ESA and reimplement it around the JSR-107 spec but I simply do not foresee that time being available soon.
