I need to reset the EM7511 cellular module. On older devices there was an ieOC.exe that would reset the module, but I cannot find something similar to perform the reset. Is there some sort of utility that will do this?

Really hoping I can get it to work by resetting it. It seems to have stopped working when I installed a Virtual GPS software to split NMEA data, but instead, it seems to have broken the cellular module to an extent.

Occasionally, the settings are changed possibly due to 3rd party applications or unfound bugs leading to weird behaviors. This reset tool also helps restore the settings and the weird behaviors will be gone.

Hi! I could be wrong but your case would not help by resetting all the settings. Inventor Reset Utility helps restoring all the settings in Inventor back to install defaults. But, your case sounds more like a corruption to me.

interesting! I found the reset button and was able to delete my dimensions after that. Are there any other indicators that it might be corrupted? I'm using it for school (student license) so I'd rather make sure its right now than run into further issues later

I have setup a utility meter that has the cycle set to yearly but I plan to reset it manually using the reset service every 2 months since there is no such an option in the component. When I do execute the service using the UI by calling utility_meter.reset with the entity set to utility_meter.energy_yearly I do not see this log (debug is enabled): core/homeassistant/components/utility_meter/sensor.py at 1d5ffe9ad5d4a0a918cce33d338419962ac21545 home-assistant/core GitHub and the sensor does not go back to 0

The problem seems to be a bug in the code since its mixing the tariff with the reset feature: -assistant/home-assistant/blob/1d5ffe9ad5d4a0a918cce33d338419962ac21545/homeassistant/components/utility_meter/sensor.py#L149

When I report energy usage to pay for water and electricity I type in current water/electricity meter value.
I did not fount an ability in HA to create cumulative sensor and calibrate it to have a sensor that matches meter reading.
If Utility Meter component can be set to work constantly without cycles - it would solve this problem.
So please, consider making an option to have Utility Meter counter without resets.

I believe use case is the same as @Oleksii_Zelivianskyi. I have a sensor which keeps track of power consumption in my home. It is a single sensor with total power consumed, and as @tom_l rightfully states, this sensor does not reset.

The utility meter has this functionality on board with the tariffs setting. But as this meter resets cyclically (with the longest period being one year) I cannot use this to keep track of the total power consumed. I also do not see another way to achieve this.

You can download the Maintenance Reset Utility if you receive the following message:

Click on the link and complete the required information to download the utility.

This method is available to Windows users (Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP) as a one-time option while customers determine the best next steps for repairs.

I have a problem with the ST-Link V2-1 that are embedded on the nucleo boards. I use the ST-Link utility CLI as an external tool in Atollic TrueStudio to program my nucleo boards. However after the programming operation finishes, the CLI cannot reset the MCU. I tried from the command line and the result is the same.

I connect under reset (with hardware reset) to the MCU. The connection to the MCU happens all the time, no problem programming at all. The cli version is 3.5.0.0. I believe I did not have this problem with the previous version of the utility...

There is no 64-bit version of that utility. Normally, you should do a "reset" of a shuffle as a Restore in iTunes. The Restore button is on the shuffle's Settings screen in iTunes. When you connect the shuffle to your computer, it does not appear in iTunes? Is it recognized by Windows as being connected, even if it is not seen in iTunes?

If the shuffle is seen in iTunes and you are able to begin the Restore process, the Reset Utility will not help. The Restore function is iTunes is the "official" way to erase and reset iPods to the default condition. The Reset Utility was released because occasionally, the older shuffles were not recognized by iTunes, even through they were still seen as connected by the computer. Since the shuffle was not seen in iTunes, it was not possible to run a Restore.

Actually, I got mine to work, but I had to find a macbook to do it. With the mac, I didn't have the 32 bit or 64 bit issue I had with my PC and the reset utility worked and now my shuffle does too. Thank goodness!

Is there any way i can reset my mac admin password with a tool like chntpw. Booting from a Mac OS X Install CD is not an option, since the firmware password is set. Are there any simple ways of doing this?

Howver, if you freeze after installation, that ought to be OK. Latest CIS untis have cartridges (much improved) with self-resetting chips to always show full - well, they show full if you keep using until they do, all by themselves. Whatever you do, don't get a CIS using a genuine Epson cartridge piggybacked on the cartridges. Absolutely useless. Make sure has latest self-resetting chips.

The SSC utility does not see the printer and reports that it is off. I checked an Epson service manual about the lights flashing and the power off. It said that this indicates a maintenance request and rates a 2 it on a scale of 20.

Is it possible to reset the TPM on the Probook 650 G1 with the BCU? We've had no success so far with BCU 4.0.13.1. Using the GET statement suggests Reset TPM to Factory Defaults is a thing, but that doesn't reset the TPM at all (error code 6, access denied. The BIOS-password has been passed through correctly ). Even resetting the BIOS to factory defaults doesn't clear the TPM.

Sometimes we need to reinstall a laptop from scratch. Unfortunately, it is impossible to escrow the already existing keys from the TPM to the MBAM database (in Windows 8.1 anyway). So we need to reset the TPM in our deployment task sequence. We've gotten it to work in the WinPE phase for Dell laptops with Dell's CCTK. Unfortunately we haven't had any luck with BCU.

Since a user would normally have to successfully log into their computer before accessing IdentityIQ (or any other application) through a web browser, enabling reset of a Windows Desktop password requires the installation of a utility application called IdentityIQ Lifecycle Manager Desktop Password Reset. This application adds a link or button to the Windows login screen that can be configured to connect users to IdentityIQ's Forgot Password feature (or any other web-based password management solution) in a restricted browser to change their password; this functionality bypasses the Windows login credential requirement for this specific and limited purpose.

Close the program. Now press CTRL+SHIFT while double-clicking on the program's icon to launch it. You should see a window that asks "Do you want to reset all preferences to default values?" Click Yes.

On a system running macOS, this may not work if you are trying to launch the application from the Dock. If you do not see the reset dialog, try repeating the process with the icon found in your Applications directory in Finder instead.
