HIII people, well after a break of about two days spending them in ras
surd, I was back to Cairo ( we yaretni makont back ), about 30 km away
I could smell the smoke and feel it down to my throat, the vision
became more hard for the long distances and the bright stars I used to
watch in the sky started to disappear. Reaching Cairo itself was a
great mess, too crowd while it was midnight, I believe that I gained a
lot of saye2at in insulting she and he in those 10 minutes I spent in
the car in order to reach my home, more than those I gained in the last
48 hours. So back again to the stress, to tolet el lesan I tried to cut
in Ramadan and to everything that could simply annoy me and make me act
in a frenzy way. Finally, i reached home and thanks God; it was the
first time to park that easy without rooming in the neighboring streets
looking for somewhere to park.
The days of joy reached their end and now back to what i call "al ham".
I really had a great break full of joy and i hope you had the same :o)
Thanks

Hey Mohamed,
Well, I can fully understand how you feel and what it's like there, especially after a vaccation somewhere cleaner.
But imagine me now, living in the UK for the last 2 and a half yrs and going back every 6 months to one yr time. How do I feel? Ya Allah, I cannot describe it at all. I only go there for 2 weeks, and I try to hold back as much as possible, but not always works. And the last time I was there, I didn't shout except may be 10 times :P but I didn't say sheteema for anyone, only they insulted me. Ya3ni we kaman the Taxi drivers used to make do3a2 3alaya 3ashan I wouldn't let them pass fel mamnoo3.

Walahi I did once with a friend of mine a program to teach Egyptians how to drive and have manners with driving, but sadly we never got around to teach it, as there were no attendees. Ya3ni bel3arabi, mesh 3ayzeen yekoonoo nas mo7tarama and learn how to be a good, safe and polite drivers.
As an Egyptian my self, I am very proud of who I am, but sadly not proud to be one when I am in Egypt, 3ashan they make me feel like we are all animals in the streets.
I hope I didn't offend anyone, especially that ana kaman masreya zayoko kolloko.

Hello Everyone

After spending 7 years living in a clean and sophisticate intelligent environment in a foreign country, suddenly I am standing in the middle of Al Azhar street. I could see almost every mean of transport machine that human has invented so far (except ships and airplane of course) roaming the street without control. (I have to think deeper about this phrase –WITHOUT CONTROL-). I was attempting to cross the street with one of my brothers, his young son was showing off by crossing the street with so much ease it annoyed me. On our right hand side a blond foreign face appeared few meters away, with my strange English accent I raised my voice to this face and said it is madness here is it not? The foreign face with real southern American accent replayed, yes but I love It, don’t you. I felt shocked to his quick honest response, Typically and as a WOG (Westernised Oriental Gentleman), I smiled and said Yeah. Then I realised that I shoud take advantage of being in my own country and I retaliated back by saying what do you like about this? As he was dodging a bicycle which almost ran him over, he said with all these old buildings and streets I feel like I will be living for hundreds of years, may be forever. your country is very rich. As he appeared he also disappeared suddenly in a wave of human masse. I stoped for a while I looked at what it was a clean distinguished shirt of mine and thought to myself this foreign face  is certainly  lucky, I wish I have his eyes, nose and defiantly his mentality. He does not have a problem dealing with the different, but how can you live in such clear state of mind if you need to be part of this everyday of your life. Sometimes I think about Cairo inhabitants as real heros, not just victims and offenders. is it a matter of preception, I guess it is. What do you people think?

Happy Aied to all of you.

Hello All,
I do agree with every songle word said by you about the crowd, the cleanless streets, etc.........
I had an experience of living for one yer in DUbai, when I came back 2 motnhs ago, it was very hard fr me to drive but just after 3 days I was able to handle the situation, and even my sister who live abroad started telling me "Now I can say u r really back" :)
The point is, I love Egypt. Begawaaha, be7araha, betroabha, benasha, be2rafha, begamalha, bekol 7etta feeha.
You can not change your parents, Evn if they were criminals YOU WILL LOVE THEM. Same way for your country.....You can't change it.
I hate people who go for another nationalities (which I don't mind) but they forget that they are egyptians.
Ya gama3a begad you will never find people like ours.
you know the song "yeb2a enta akeeed akeeeed fee masr"
The last part where it says "lama tela2y fe gr7ak alf 3eeen bakya 3aleek, we tla2y fee far7ak za3'areet we zeeena men 7awaleeek, we betak elbaseet yet7awel 2asr, yeba2a enta akeed akeed fee masr "
So true, I used to hear this song when I was in Dubai and cry (and still i am in an Arab country) what about you Nesrine? Don't u miss it.
And Faisal this Foreigner, with his eyes, he is looking to the positive in eveyr single thing his eyes come through. Some of us have the tendency to only see the bad side and the negatives.
Try to be more optimistic and things might be different.
Have a nice day and sorry if I was too long

HIII ALL, I totally agree that being optimistic is a way to live, and I
usually try to be one, I think that's why I'm still alive in Egypt,
coz if I had everyday to think about all the negatives I face in it, I
will sure lose my mind or will go under deep depression, but just to be
more accurate I think it's not optimism as it is a kind of ignorance,
ya3ni msalan I go to the club about 4 days in the week-it's about 4
km from my home-and I really enjoy going back to home walking in our
streets, and I don't know why besara7a, but I think that I just
forget about anything that could annoy me and ignore all the things
happening around me, ( noisy horns, pollution, crowd, dirty streets,
wel kalam da kolo ).
And more about our streets, I heard about a very strange accident that
happened in the street I'm living in a week ago, there were 2 cars (X
and Y for ex ), one in front (X) of the other, a woman was crossing
in-between them, and suddenly X has decided to go backwards, and he
did, the woman just managed to jump over Y's car in order ya3ni to
not get harmed, and X continued his way in Y, ya3ni I don't know that
X was mbarshem wala eih zrofo, bs I do really think that that guy was
supposed to be taken to the police station 3la tol coz simply that
woman was going to be really harmed, and more of him will make life
worse than it is, and I believe there are more, but simply he went away
wel mawdo3 3ada.
Sorry for being too long, and have a nice day ;o)
