What do you think about that called "merciful death" ?? Can people
decide to end someone's life because they feel that will be better
for him ??

I think it is very debatable to decide whether to end some one's life
or not, for sure it's something that is controlled and ruled by God.
hmmmm lets think of the example of Soad Nasr, as far as i know she is
still alive, but the brain does not function any more. She is not
considered as a living person since she is sleeping on a bed with no
conscious. On the other hand her family are paying LOTS of money for
the hospital to keep her and serve her. Ya3ni they pay money to see
her suffering !! I think in some situations it is better to end some
one's life. Boss Ethically and according to Kant (someone keda zay
Aristotle wel nas el 7elwa dih) he states that there is Conditional
and Unconditional good. the only unconditional good is the GOOD WILL.
and in this situation when they decide to end her life they are
thinking of the good for her family and for her since she is not with
them anymore.

I think that this issue is very debatable as when we think as people
normally keda it is fine, but when we think using our religion (we dah
el mafroud) we find it wrong and still in religion debatable !!!

Hi all.. I am new here.. but I have been reading all your comments and emails back and forth for a while.. very enjoyable .. well done on the lovely forum...

As for the this topic.. I am not at all decided on an answer.. while I believe in the will of God and that his will is the ultimate destiny of man... I wonder in the case of a terminally ill and suffering person where medical intervention and technological advancement is a big factor in keeping him alife - where turning off man made machines is called killing him..

I am interested to see everyones opinion.

Hi All,
I was away for some time and I came to find this interesting (debatable as phillip said) topic.
Well, I am totally against it.
As a start of course we all agree that it is God's will, sometimes il people on machines die, just coz it is their time.
But for those who are seriously ill (Like Soad Nasr's case) well, since her family chose to put her on machine (even though they are man made ones), well they should go till the end, until God Will.
Personally I know a family who are very very rich (mashaaAllah), they had such a case within the family, and they can afford putting the case on machines for the rest of time but they decided not to, and left it to God, coz they were afraid of facing a time where they need to make a decision like that, and el7amdolelah coz their believe that God always give them the best for them, their daughter got well after a while, ya she will be facing some problems till the rest of her life, but she is with them, talking and smiling.
Just a humble thought
Marwa
