The quote is a paraphrase of Jagdish Gandhi
http://www.jagdishgandhi.org/ -what's remarkable is if he's criticising a generation for not caring as much as they could in India in terms of what do children need to learn to be vocationally competent in this changing world, ...how much more does this apply in the west?
Jagdish cares about the issue. His family have developed the most successful social business in education ever founded by one family in one generation - over 30000 children now learn at city montessori schools; this is one of India's top 10 schools but using resources that must be at least 10 times less per head than the showcase schools for the rich that occupy top 10s

Jagdish's 2 daughters are immense supporters of reform in
education in London and other western cities if you want to know how -in particular, city montesorri has discovered 1) that by adolesence cross-cultural competence or lack of it is more or less rigidly designed into a person; 2) every child can have access to a curriculum that makes cross-cultural joy the one the teenager socially actions
It's a close call but of the 2 education is for me an even graver sustainability crisis than climate. If you agree it matters then please dont lurk. We have collected a series of profiles of the very few positive education entrepreneurs around who also offer open source franchises the world can copy ; in the last 10 months we have distributed over 2500 copies of these guides jammed full of bookmarks , and we continue to sponsor communities that want to mix and match re-editing of their own guides.
