Dear TLs & DeGMs,

We got the information that both UPS are connected via ATS at 240 PoP locations.

Pls go-through the attachment  and verify below points of your division/district. 

• Whether both UPS are interconnected via ATS  
  
• In case of failure of one of the UPS system our PoP equipment like router,switches,BTS etc power supply not affected and operational through the available working UPS (Redundancy).
• In case of electricity  supply failure , UPS Load distributed proportionately.

In-case of power outage, primary UPS after certain period becomes drain, suddenly network equipment's power-off even having secondary available UPS with power-backup facility and entire swan connectivity of said PoP location hampering badly.

 

Emerson UPS issue is resolved at most of the location so for uninterrupted power supply (power level redundancy) to PoP network equipment's we have to connect both APC and Emerson UPS with existing available Automatic Transfer switch (ATS).

Pls find the pictorial diagram for installing UPS and ATS:

Also we are enclosing a guideline for the installation of APC & Emerson UPS. This installation is to be done at all PoPs. Pl takes a print out of this sheet and pastes it in the RACK for reference.
