Hi folks,
Come out to this fantastic event that fabric artists Kokoro Bensenoff and Talia Lefton are hosting at the Egleston Community Orchard on June 23rd between 10am and 3pm.  Great for kids of all ages!

10 am to 12 pm: Indigo dye session
12 pm to 1 pm: Potluck lunch (loosely scheduled) while fabric is drying
1 pm to 3 pm: sewing + putting up the work
announcements and rituals

Kokoro Bensonoff and Talia Lefton have been working collaboratively since 2013. They met through the JP arts community and it was quickly apparent that they have common themes that wind through their individual art work and an interest in working together to create bigger projects. Some of their notable works are an 11' long woven and felted tapestry, lighted up from behind to create a star-scape for the winter solstice, and a striking rainbow cloth covering for a 10' diameter tee-pee structure entitled "The Fort of Fortuitous Fortunes". Kokoro and Talia have collaborated to bring decoration and atmosphere to many community gatherings in and around Jamaica Plain.

Please share info about the event widely!

Thank you so much,
Hannah

Thank you, Hannah for this post.

Talia and I are also looking for some volunteers who can help the kids dying on that day.
No experience required.
Let me know if anyone is interested.
You can also decide on that day to come help us to show up between 9 and 10 am.

Thanks!
Kokoro
