Japanese Knotweed incursion

Hey folks,

I stopped by the orchard today for the first time in a while (a break in a stint of traveling) and wanted to give folks a heads up that there is starting to be Japanese knotweed, Reynoutria japonica, from the edges.

It is aggressive and will take over if left unchecked, but dealing with it needs to be done carefully to keep it from spreading. See the linked PDF for info.
