Hi folks,
This Thursday and Friday are two days where many cultures have celebrated ancestors (Dia De Los Muertos, All Hallow's Eve) - our world around us is in the cycle of death as we head towards winter - the leaves are dropping, the crickets are slowing down and dying, wasps are seeking warm spaces to prevent the inevitable death that comes with winter. We slow down drawing in as the days darken and the light dims.

In honoring all our ancestors - the living plants and insects around us and their cycles, as well as our human ancestors that have come before us--and this part of the cycle of our year, I will be hosting space in the Egleston Community Orchard to create an ancestor altar. Bring items for the altar (candles, photos of loved ones, plant gifts and more).

I will also light the new cob oven and will have supplies for people to make mini pizzas in the oven. If you have special dietary requirements, please bring ingredients that will help you join in this activity.

I will be there from 5-7.30pm on Thursday October 31st and the same time on Friday November 1st.

I would suggest bringing blankets and warm clothes, and if you wish to share a dish please bring that too! Some bring a loved one's favorite food! I'll have chocolate which was one of my father's favorite foods!

Looking forward to seeing people in the orchard! and Please feel free to spread the word!
love
Hannah
