TERRORISM

Terrorism is the calculated use of violence or the threat of violence against civilians in order to attain goals that are political, religious or ideological in nature. This is done through intimidation, coercion or instilling fear. There are  six major motives for inciting terrorism. 1. Invasion. It is quite natural to anticipate soberly belligerent reactions when a  territory is invaded. This is how something insane like ISIS came into being. It appeared in a chaotic land. 2. Civil war and sectarianism. It is quite natural to see terrorist attacks growing when a country is politically precarious and the society is fractioned sectorially. 3. Religious extremism. Religion could vastly be misused to incorrectly implement Jihad related verses without proper discernment. Religion could indeed be a major source of imposing violence and aggression if particular portions of the divine text were misrepresented, misapplied or misapprehended. 4. Political favoritism. If a political party favors a particular position, it may resort to the use of aggression to forcefully impose its authority and to defeat its opponent. So for instance, when the military imposed their coup here, that was a consistent cause for the brotherhood faction to react so violently and aggressively. Sweeping the regime with force and murder promptes the despiteful temperament. It is quite naive to believe what politicians speak. Before I move to the subsequent factor, I must explicitly express my impartial opinion from the political controversy. I am not in favor of any political position and my opinion reflects my own perspective and conviction as an individual. 5. Cultural conflict. If a particular nation perceived attempts of dominance or imperialism, the consequent reaction is to defy and recede the superior to be. 6. Provoking hate on either racial, religious or ethnic basis. Despising or denigrating minorities incites hostile reactions. I was trying to critically analyze the tiptop reasons for the increase of terrorism domestically and overseas. If we look at the terrorists' initial motivation quite carefully, we will find them summed in these five major factors. I might be inaccurate or indecisive. I don't claim the perfection of my statement. I am just trying to understand. May Allah bring peace and prosperity to this world, may Allah help us defy our ego and the superiority complex.
