Dea rall, peace be with you.

As we were growing up as little kids, we were told to sleep early on Christmas eve, because Santa Claus is coming lately to bring us our presents for Christmas.

Of course, as little kids, we had unlimited trust in our parents and particularly our mothers.

I just intended to honestly examine this phenomenon.

I knew though that it wasn’t intended to be a deliberate lie to children.

It was rather an innocent little white lie.

But don’t you relatively agree with me that it is ethically inappropriate?

Why we won’t tell our children that your mom and dad are the ones who bought you these beautiful presents?

Why we make them ostensibly fell in love with this fictitious  and non-existent character called Santa?

Psychologically, shouldn’t that  have a negative connotation  on them?

After they grew up, they may think of exempting lieing for their interest because it was practiced on them when they were little kids.

The plain definition of lieing is a deliberate statement or act which deviates from recognizing the truth.

Lieing is a major sin and it is intensely condemned in all divine religions.

Please do not misunderstand my purpose of writing this.

I never intended to offend you on Christmas eve.

I just wanted to share a little thought with you.

My intention is good and I have no interest to offend anyone.

I really fond Christmas dinner and particularly Turkey with all its trimmings.

Well, so to speak the truth, I never tried it, but I was told that it really tastes so good.

I would like to try it though.

Please, save some for me smile.

From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a healthy and a delicious dinner, and a pleasant time with your family.

This is a very friendly greeting from your Muslim friend in Egypt.

It’s filled with deference, empathy, warmth and tolerance.

I apologize again if my little piece of advice was good but I perhaps didn’t choose the proper time to utter it.

So here is a little pop-up quizz for my English speaking recipients;

What is the French word for Santa?

Thank you so much and Merry Christmas.

Mostafa Almahdy.
